Here's my mom's blog entry of the day:

I just Googled Adam Lambert. There were 6,040,000 results. I'm now officially a total Adam Lambert fan. He was born on my birthday, the same year as my kid. I've read a whole lot of comments on You Tube (after watching nearly every single video there about him) and apparently I am not alone. People my age, people Ricky's (and Adam's) age, women and men are writing in to say he's outdistancing even the most famous already crowned American Idols. What a kick! There are more than a few comparison's of Adam Lambert to Elvis, leaning in A. L. 's favor. (note, I didn't even like Elvis as a kid and grew to appreciate his talent only after I was much older).

A couple of weeks ago I said to myself "Wouldn't it be great if he'd sing something from Phantom of the Opera?". I think he'd make a fabulous Phantom. So I Googled Adam Lambert + Phantom of the Opera last week and there are results showing people discussing how they Googled the same thing! And then along came last week's show and they put up a picture of him in middle school dressed as the Phantom.

Now there are all the "he's gay, he's not gay, who cares" discussions. All I know is he better win! (And Allison Iraheta better come in 2nd because she is awesome too).
