Las Vegas Life
There’s no immodest way to say this, so I’ll just come out and say it: I just had the #1 best book release party in history. Here’s the proof, courtesy of Bryan Adams Photography:
Speical thanks to Rumor Botique Hotel, Suzanne Lugano, VEGAS Magazine, Las Vegas Weekly, Paula, Kelli, Janice, Jeff, Dave, Josh, Craig, Jeremy, Barnes & Noble and everyone else who helped make the night fantastic.
On January 18th, Las Vegas Weekly and VEGAS Magazine will team up to throw me what is sure to be the swankest book release party in the history of the written word.
The event will take place at the chic, new RUMOR Boutique hotel. I visited RUMOR on opening night, and I’ve been back several times since. Where else in Vegas am I going to find hammocks, sticky chandeliers, and complimentary purple M&Ms?
I’ve yet to have a dull night at RUMOR, and I couldn’t be more excited that they’ll be hosting my book release party. The event will take place from 6-8 PM. So if you’re in Vegas on January 18th, do stop by.
Here they are--The Top 5 Lies Men Tell Women in Vegas Nightclubs
LIE: “I’m in Vegas all the time.”
TRUTH: I’m almost never in Vegas, so if we hook up, you’ll almost
certainly never see me again.
LIE: “You’ve got this awesome energy.”
TRUTH: I don’t believe in ‘energies’; I do believe you’ll sleep with
me if I give you the right compliment.
LIE: “My friends just left to play blackjack.”
TRUTH: I came here alone, to pick up women.
LIE: “I think you’re hotter than our bartender.”
TRUTH: I think you’re more available than our bartender.
LIE: “I’ve got a hookup at the club at Caesars.”
TRUTH: I’ve got a room at Caesars.
NOTES FROM MY WYNN STAYCATION
3:30PM: As I type this, I’m wearing a bathrobe, which, according to its label, was designed specifically for the guests of Wynn Las Vegas. Behind me is a flat-screen TV showing a montage of nature photographs and playing “Clair de Lune.” I’m 52 stories up, and I’m peering over the top of my laptop at the Wynn golf course. Intellectually, I knew the course was big, but didn’t really understand how big it was until this moment. It’s huge.
2:OOAM: I’m sitting in the parasol Up bar. I’m drinking a “Pear-A-Sol,” a cocktail that combines Absolut Pear Vodka with pear liqueur and pear puree. I really like pears, so the drink works for me. Now I’m drinking an Acai & Kiwi Smash (kiwi vodka, acai liqueur, agave nectar). And now I’m doing a shot of tequila, Granny Sour Apple Schnapps, and Goldschlager. And now I’m doing a shot of Grand Marnier 150 Year Anniversary.

This is a photo of the lobby of Aria on opening night, right after they let the public in. Before they did, they had a private opening gala. You can read my notes from the Aria opening gala by clicking HERE.
I haven't been kicked out of a club...yet. But I've seen it happen a lot of times. Sometimes I agree with the kick out, other times I don't. I wrote a story about the 'real' reason people get kicked out of clubs, and you can read it by clicking HERE.
PS, thanks to my fantastic friend Sheena for posing for the picture!
I went Hanukkah shopping at CRYSTALS MALL in CITYCENTER last week. Didn't find much within my price range, but I did find a $440 paperclip. I mean, technically it was a paperclip shaped money clip...but doesn't that just make it a paperclip? The mall was very pretty, though, and the space was unlike anything I've ever seen. Kinda reminded me of an MC Escher picture. Anyway, you can read my REVIEW OF CRYSTALS MALL by clicking RIGHT HERE.
